Located in the beautiful San Luis Valley, Tumbleweed Bread is a community supported, naturally leavened, whole grain Wholesale Bakery. Our products are found across the valley at various dine-in and market locations. Nearly all the grain we use is regionally grown, here in the valley, and nothing is imported from out of state. These beautiful grains are then stone-ground into unrefined flours to preserve the plentiful nutritional benefits found in their unprocessed berries (seeds) -- naturally infusing our products with the prebiotic fiber, proteins, vitamins and minerals lost to modern breads.
Because nearly all of our products are slow-fermented and whole grain, they make excellent options for those with gluten sensitivities. We offer various loaves, savories, and sweets -- nutritious, local food options for home or adventures in the mountains -- and all is hand mixed, fermented, and baked in our wholesale bakery in Monte Vista. This is Bread, the old fashioned way.
