Little h Farm

Little h Farm is a small, growing hobby farm raising Hares, Hens, Hogs, and Honeybees — the “little h’s” that inspired our name. After starting with rabbits, we expanded to chickens, ducks, geese, turkeys, and pigs. We always try to do best by our animals while also knowing them as nourishment for our bodies. A like-minded friend once told me, "it's nice to know that the animal you are eating was loved." Little h Farm came upon soap making as a bit of an accident. We started raising animals years ago because we believe in knowing where our food comes from and in humane treatment of animals. After taking our hogs to the processor in 2025, they called and asked if we wanted the fat. I said "yes" with some hesitancy. Yes because I want every part of the animal to be used if possible. Hesitancy because I didn't know what to do with it. After doing some research I landed on soap making. This was a useful and practical product out of our own lard. After making the first couple of batches I was hooked. I loved making soap: blending the essential oils, researching natural products to create beautiful colors, and working with the materials to bring it all together. Bonus: this soap is amazingly moisturizing, soft and silky on skin, and smells great!
