OUR STORY: In 1946, my great-grandfather's bakery burned down to be rebuilt from the ashes. I cherish the phoenix in my logo as it honors our family's resilience. My grandfather opened his bakery in Edinburg, Texas and it still stands today. My father followed in his footsteps, opened our family bakery the year I was born, and for forty years sold our beloved cookies storefront. Today, I turn to what has been baked into my soul to carry on the tradition. We make three types of Mexican Cookies to be shipped across the U.S. from our commercial kitchen in Denver: Valentina: Heart-shaped polvorones with cinnamon, toasted pecans, and a crumble texture – light yet satisfyingly dense. Luna: Traditional Mexican Wedding Cookie with fresh pecans bits, sweet powered sugar, and buttery shortbread. Stella: Our nut-free option. Bite-sized Star-shaped cookies. Light, sweet, and buttery short-bread crumble covered with cinnamon and sugar.
