Cocina Libre is a Denver-based organization that empowers immigrant chefs to share their stories and cultural heritage through food. We organize community dinners; private dinners; diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) workshops; and cooking classes led by immigrant chefs, where participants not only enjoy authentic dishes but also hear firsthand narratives of resilience and cultural identity. In addition to these events, we published "Cocina Libre: Immigrant Resistance Recipes," a book available on Amazon and other major retail stores, which features recipes and stories from immigrant communities. Through educational programs and community events, we raise awareness about the immigrant experience, foster a community that celebrates diversity and promote social justice.
