Mrs. Jessica “Jess” Fierro is the Owner and Head Brewer of Atrevida Beer Company and is challenging the standard definition of craft beer. Jess is the winner of the TV series “Beerland” Season 1, she is designing beers that will entice any beer drinker, with combinations like Fresas Con Crema cream ale on nitro and Belgian tripel with tamarindo. She’s the first Latina Brewery Owner and Head Brewer in Colorado. Working with her hands and using her creativity is what sets Jess apart from the rest. Her skill in beer recipe building and leading people is unmatched. Atrevida is more than a brewery and small business to Jess and she has a vision to bring community together. The company motto is “Diversity, it’s on tap!” and Atrevida Beer Co is demonstrating diversity in everything it does. We are Female, Latina, and Veteran owned. Jessica has now built a global brand in Atrevida Beer Co with the motto "Diversity It's on Tap". Jessica has received numerous awards to include Woman of Influence 2022 and the 2023 NextStar Pikes Peak Region Remarkable Woman. We are providing a diverse perspective in an industry not traditionally known for it and embracing diversity in each glass to engage our customers in a time when dialogue is needed. On 19 November 2022 violence changed our lives forever. Jess’s daughter Kassy, her boyfriend Raymond Green, her best friends Chip and Joanne Law, and her husband Rich were all present living their company motto Diversity it’s on tap by supporting Kassy’s best friend Wyatt for his birthday drag performance at Club Q. A mass shooter projected evil on a community just trying to be themselves and share an evening of fun and joy at Club Q here in Colorado Springs. This event was incomprehensible and reshaped everyone involved forever. That day all of us decided to act regardless of the consequences or results. A decision that we have profound feelings about having lost Raymond’s life during that evening of horror. Heroic acts are unexpected, bold, and dramatic. Everyone in that room was a hero, we all decided that night to act heroically that night.
