Ingredients
- 4 Heads Broccoli, Crowns
- Trimmed, stemmed, and cut
- 2 Onions, Red, Small
- Peeled and cut into thick slices
- 12 pc Bacon, Applewood, Thick
- Cooked and chopped
- 3 Tbsp Olive Oil
- Salt, Kosher, To Taste
- Pepper, Black, Fresh Ground, To Taste
- Dressing of Your Choice (Balsamic Vinaigrette, Apple Vinaigrette, Ginger Sesame or Other)
Directions
- Preheat Grill to 400 degrees and setup for direct grilling
- Prep Broccoli as instructed above and place into a large pan
- Drizzle with oil and season to taste
- Prep red onions as instructed above and place onto a pan, oil both sides and season to taste
- Cook bacon and allow to cool. Chop once cooled
- Grill broccoli on both sides and until desired char is reached. Approx 4-5 minutes per
- While broccoli is grilling add the onions and cook for 4-5 minutes per side
- When broccoli and onions are done, remove from the grill and cool
- When cool, place in fridge to chill completely
- Rough chop the broccoli and place into a bowl
- Rough cut the red onion slices in half and add to the broccoli
- Add the cooked, chopped bacon to the bowl
- Drizzle with your choice of dressing
- Mix well to combine and serve
- Salad is best served chilled
